New Port, a seaside renovation project with breathtaking panoramic views on the North Sea, was finished to perfection. From renewed electricity to the instalment of underfloor heating and from matching hand towels to Moroccan zelliges, the apartment underwent a total metamorphosis. Designed with an older clientèle in mind, we turned an outdated apartment into an open and inviting second stay where a close-knit family can gather in their free time.

With a surprisingly wide facade, the apartment offers lots of natural light. The colour palette of the interior is deliberately soft without distracting the attention from the stunning sea view. Special attention was paid to the use of natural materials: textured paint in the living areas, natural hemp carpets and linen, off-white curtains which provide an airy feel. Above the dining table, the pendant lamp creates a summer holiday atmosphere.

In this project, practicality was an essential part of the design process. Additional drawers under the beds make for smart storage space. The holiday home can accommodate seven people without sacrificing quality. A second stay to unwind and enjoy the seaside, where memories are made that will last a lifetime.
