The PT loft, located in the centre of Zwevegem, used to be a former ‘American Stock’ warehouse. We performed an interior renovation in 2016 to turn it into my personal home. At the end of the eighties, the building was purchased by my family and converted into a one-of-a-kind home in collaboration with architect Roland De Corte of AARD-Architects.
The house was renovated with Le Corbusier's five principles in mind. The columns, flat roof terraces and large horizontal windows make it unique in its environment. In 2016 we renovated the building respecting the original elements such as supporting pillars, cross beams and brick ceilings. We covered the floor with Moroccan tadelakt, repainted the walls and introduced indirect lighting to highlight the authentic brutalist elements. By selecting design furniture and expressive works of art, we created a cosy nest that feels just like home.
